Two HIPs landed today and stayed over night due to the inclement weather. They belong to the local Afgan army. I got a chance to walk up to them and take a closer look. I love Russian built airplanes, they are so foreign to me. I had to fight the urge to climb all over it and get a closer look at how "they do things". The aircraft was in poor condition, filthy dirty and unairworthy to our standards. The extended range fuel system consisted of a 55 gallon drum of fuel in the cabin.Monday, March 12, 2007
